AMD Records is a vital part of the AMD Music Group. Formed in 2000, AMD MG has been involved in the Jam scene through show promotion and production. Many clubs and many shows later, AMD MG has embarked on the lable scene. With the help of Klyph Black and Michael Falzarano, AMD Records was formed. The first release "Friend And Partner" (AMD101) by Black And Sparrow has laid the ground work for an incredible promotional network.

John Sparrow
In the 80's John Sparrow was a staple of the NYC rock scene, his band "Johnny Sparrow & the Vidals" doing straight ahead rock originals, were common to see at the Lone Star Cafe, the Roxy, the Limelight and most of the Downtown music scene. They have opened for Stevie Ray Vaughn, Steve Forbert and numerous other acts. By 1987 John met Klyph Black who was signed to Manhattan Records with the band "Urgent". They struck up a friendship, a kinship, and the next thing you know they were writing and performing acoustic shows together. They developed a following and Black and Sparrow was formed.
